A kosher phone for a yeshiva
A school rollout is not just a filter setting. It is a standard, a request process, and a plan for the families.
When a yeshiva decides to require filtered phones, the technical setup is only one part. The harder parts are consistency and communication.
Set the standard first
Decide what the mosad actually requires: no browser, approved apps only, filtered Safari, or a level per grade. Write it down before comparing products. A clear standard makes every later decision easier.
Pilot with one group
Choose a small group, set up the level, and test real daily use: maps, banking, email, school portals, Torah sites, WhatsApp. Fix the gaps before a full rollout.
Make requests easy
Students will need exceptions. A dashboard request flow with a clear decision record prevents the hanhala from becoming a help desk. Decide who approves what, and how fast.
Communicate with parents
Parents need to know what changes on the phone, what stays, and who to call. A one-page explanation and a short demo are worth more than a long policy.
Roll out in batches
Do not schedule three hundred setups on one day. Batch by grade or class, with a support slot for each. Keep a list of devices and statuses.
How filttr helps
filttr provides per-device levels, a central dashboard, request review and remote updates. See the mosdos page or contact us to plan a pilot.

Can each grade have a different level?
Yes. Each device can have its own profile.
Can parents see the requests?
